CSCsi10974 Error configuring dhcp option 67
Symptom:
The following error is generated while configuring dhcp option 67:
% DHCP does not allow raw option 67.
Conditions:
After creating a dhcp pool,configuring dhcp option 67 to specify the bootfile name for the dhcp clients is not allowed. Some devices like handheld scanners look for bootfile name specifically in option 67. The DHCP offer that is returned from the server doesn’t contain option 67.
Workaround:
There is no workaround.
The bug is already fixed and the fix would be available starting in IOS 12.4(15) T1, I already check and seems that all the IOS versions of the 12.4 train are been affected, at this point it would be a good idea to upgrade the IOS of the router to latest code in the 12.4(15) T train that would be:
12.4(15) T13
The only thing that you would need to be aware is that when the upgrade would be done, you would need to erase from the flash the code that is running at this moment, in order to install the new code.

Unfortunately it produced bundles of parse errors which I tracked down to being because of the html codes you’ve used to display both single and double quotation marks. Once they were all replaced with simple ” or “” everything worked fine – but there were quite a lot of replacements required! If you’d like a fixed up version of the code I’d be happy to send it to you.
