Found this virus scan site recommended by SANS and PC World. You can uploaded or email files under 10MB and VirusTotal will scan the file with many of the virus scan engines such as ClamAV, TrendMicro, Fsecure, McAfee, AVG, etc . Since most vendors are better than others in certain areas you get the best of all worlds here. Especially helpful when downloading freeware and support tools online or when receiving email attachments from your not so savvy friends. Files like that can be compromised so scanning them is always wise. Of course sending files containing sensitive information should be avoided.
